3. Your mouse driver name will show after you expand the above option, right-click on it and then, click on the ‘Update driver‘ option.

5. That is it, now your system will look for the latest mouse driver software on the Internet for you, and then, you can update your driver and see if the issue persists.  

4. Clear Virus With Windows Security 

Another possible reason for causing this issue is that your system is infected with malware or virus. Therefore, you will have to perform a thorough scan and ensure that your computer is out of viruses. You can either perform this method via your current antivirus software that you’re using if you have one or you can use Windows Security. Here we are going to tell you how you can clear viruses using Windows Security:  

1. Open Settings on your desktop and then, click on the ‘Update & Security’ option. 
2. You will see a list of options on the left pane, click on the ‘Windows security’ option and then, click on the ‘Open Windows Security’ option. 
3. Under the ‘Current Threats’ section, you will see an option of ‘Virus & threat protection’, click on that option and select ‘Scan options’.  
4. And finally, click on the ‘Full scan’ option and then tap on ‘Scan Now’. That is it! 

Please know that it takes a while to run the whole scan on the system, so follow the instructions as they pop up, and then after the scan is complete see if the issue has been resolved or not.  

5. Update Windows 

When you don’t keep Windows up to date, it can cause a few glitches here and there. Also, updating Windows can target bug fixes such as mouse moving on its own and can fix it. So, here’s how you can update your Windows:
